Contemporary Visions

There were so many fabulous aspects of Nicole and Scott’s Wedding - from the Jessica Simpson polka-dot shoes, to the precious twin flower girls, to the twinkle-lit tent set up by the lake on a perfect summer evening.  Terry and I truly enjoyed photographing this wedding and are so thankful that the happy couple allowed us to steal them away from their party in order to capture some amazing shots!

We hope you had a wonderful time in Mexico and we look forward to sharing your photos with you when you return.  Cheers!

We are so fortunate and grateful for the opportunity to work with Jack and Tara.  They pulled out all the stops for their Wedding - they had bag pipes, a Party Bus, a Garden Party, a Tiffany Box cake and centerpieces, Irish dancing and some of the most animated and energetic people we have met.  Terry jumped on the party bus between photo locations and had a ball getting to know the couple and their friends.  Jack and Tara - we truly enjoyed being a part of your day and hope that your photographs will bring back all the memories and moments of your day for years to come.  Here’s to you!!!

Does it get more magical than this? The bride posed at the end of a private and beautiful garden, in her white dress with red roses in hand, standing before a reflective pool waiting for her husband-to-be.  He walks through a stone archway and has a moment to take her in before anyone else has seen her on their Wedding Day.

This is how Joanna and Mark began their Special Day at the breathtaking Stan Hywet (one of our absolute favorite locations in Northeast Ohio).  We spent 2 hours walking around the garden, taking pictures and taking in the scenery.  Then, off to St. Bernard’s followed by Guy’s Party Center where the Bride and Groom were toasted with heart felt sentiments from their siblings.  A wonderfully classic wedding - Congratulations Joanna and Mark!  

Tim and Kristina’s Wedding was simply elegant… even with a stop into the Geisan Haus while we waited out the rain.  It was so nice to go and shoot at her parent’s house and catch a glimpse of who they are as a family (not to mention that everyone is able to relax so much more in a familiar setting.)  I felt so honored to be a part of a day that was so well planned and clearly meant so much to all of the people involved - CONGRATULATIONS! 

Recently I met one of the most interesting people that I have come across in a long time - while this may not seem to deal directly with Wedding Photography, after working with Cortney I have felt a surge of creative energy and a newfound confidence to incorporate new techniques into how I shoot Weddings. 

We spent over 3 hours together driving and shooting around Minerva and Louisville and had an absolute ball! Our scenic backdrops included a window, a lake (which she was not afraid to get in even though it was only 65!), a gazebo, an old farm, and a lovely sunset.   While they are all relatively simple scenes it was working with various lighting, coming up with different poses and just getting out of my comfort zone that made this shoot so invigorating.  I am so excited for our upcoming Weddings so that I can use what I already know and continue to push myself and let my creativity and artistry shine through.

Cortney: You are a natural model.  It is unbelieveable that you have only been doing this for 3 months! Congratulations on all of the wonderful and amazing opportunities in your upcoming future.  It was an inspiration to work with you and I look forward to doing it again!!
